As a concrete, verifiable case, the authors report the adoption, by Unimed Serra Gaúcha, of a Chinese technology for automated image reporting. André Leite's institution became the first in the country to use this tool, serving as a real case study on gains in speed and diagnostic precision, and also on the validation and medical oversight that adopting a diagnostic AI requires.
